Last Minute Sweet Treats: a Great DIY Holiday Gift!

Did you wake up this morning and OMG it is Christmas this weekend! Although this year I was actually prepared and did this cute project ahead of time all it took was about 2-hours, a glass of wine and some amazon purchases!

Quick Cinnamon-Honey Butter Gifts!

First: order any sized mason jars depending on who you are giving them too, I made a lot for all of my teachers at my studio so mine were very small. I also ordered small bags to pack mine in, but you can wrap yours however you would like!

Second: Run to the local store and pick up:

  • 8 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1 Big squeeze of organic honey (any you prefer)
  • 1 Jar of cinnamon
  • Sea salt
  • Some jars to put the butter in (if you can find them at the store and you didn’t already order them on Amazon.)

….wait for your jars to arrive….Hopefully you have amazon prime.

Third: Leave all of your butter out to soften, come home from work, pour yourself a nice glass of wine and turn on some really loud Christmas music (it’s officially time).

Fourth: If butter is not nice and soft begin to microwave the sticks on defrost mode. Softened butter in a bowl, add:

  • 2 cups of honey
  • ½ cup of cinnamon (continue to add to taste)
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

Mix all together!

Fifth: Place finished butter into a freezer sized Ziploc bag with a small corner cut out. Squeeze your butter into the jars and make them look super cute!

DONE! YUM-O! Maybe keep all the butter for yourself and use it for so many different things!

  • On your toast
  • On French toast
  • On your sweet potatoes
  • On Pancakes, waffles, crepes!
  • Eat straight out of the jar
