To the window, to the wall! Put your legs right up on the wall!
Taking 10-20 minutes out of your busy day to pop your legs up against a wall can have so many benefits to your mind and body, and who doesn’t want that!? A few of my favorite times to do this is in the morning, after a yoga class, or at that 2:00pm slum.
Benefits of Legs up the Wall Pose:
- Calms the mind
- Helps varicose veins
- Allows your adrenals to rest and recalibrate so they can communicate to your thyroid better
- Gets your heart pumping stronger to get blood back up to your legs! It is like you are in a headstand and exercising but you are relaxing.
- Great way to find silence
- A wonderful time to stop and breath in order to regain energy for what is to come
I like to pair my legs up the wall pose with my Peace and Calming oil blend from Young Living. This is one of my all time favorite blended oils combining scents of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy. This is the perfect combination to invigorate the pose and take it to a new level. If you have your diffuser near by, add about 4 drops to your diffuser while elevating your legs. Or you can simply apply Peace and Calming to your feet, wrists, or back of your neck.
